The venue provided lovely table overlays, and I was thrilled to add on charming centerpieces and chair sashes at an affordable price. This allowed us to create a vibrant, inviting atmosphere that captured the essence of our "Our Little Sunshine" theme while keeping everything budget-friendly!

Sweet Creations: Handmade Love for a Dairy-Free Delight!

While there are countless incredible options for cake toppers available on Amazon and Etsy, I truly enjoy handmaking as much as I can for my children's birthday parties. It adds a personal touch that makes each celebration feel even more special! In fact, my dream is to start my own Etsy shop in the future when all my little ones are in school, but for now, my focus is on creating cherished memories for my kids.

For my daughter's cake, we decided to make it ourselves since she is lactose intolerant. We used a delicious dairy-free icing from Miss Jones Baking Co., which turned out wonderfully! I always prepare a personal 6-inch birthday cake for her, while also making traditional cupcakes for our guests so everyone can enjoy the celebration together. Of course, I had to incorporate my soft play business, Little Wonders Party & Play, into her first birthday celebration! We partnered with the venue to provide exciting add-ons, including a ball pit filled with matching colored balls, soft blocks adorned with themed vinyl stickers that I designed to bring the theme to life, animal hoppers, soft climbers, crawling tunnels, and even a mini inflatable bounce house for toddlers.

The layout was ideal, as it allowed guests to mingle while still keeping an eye on their little ones in the play area. It created a fun and safe environment where kids could play and explore, ensuring everyone had a blast while celebrating my daughter's special day!

Balloons Galore: Elevating the Celebration with a Rainbow of Fun!

While the venue has its own in-house balloon artist, she graciously allowed me to handle the balloon setup for my daughter's special day. I began creating balloon garlands as an add-on for our inflatable castles, but I truly enjoy designing smaller displays as well. For this theme, I aimed to create a vibrant rainbow effect as a backdrop for the vintage white high chair, adding a whimsical touch to our celebration.

The smash cake was a true highlight of the celebration, and my daughter did not hold back at all!
